Testo NanoMet3 – Portable Emissions Measurement System (PEMS)
The portable solid particle counter Testo NanoMet3 measures in real environmental situations.
Overview
Testo NanoMet3 is distributed in Spain and Portugal by IONER. It is designed to measure emissions during the actual use of an internal combustion engine vehicle or equipment in its regular daily operation under real-world conditions. Furthermore PEMS constitute a cost effective solution to perform in-service testing of heavy-duty engines: rather than extracting the engines from the vehicles and then installing them on an engine dynamometer to run their official regulatory cycles, the vehicles are equipped with on-board emission measurement systems and tested during their real in-use operation.
Features
- Particle number concentration and average particle size plots versus time, total counts provided by software
- PMP compliant VPR (sampling & conditioning)
- Fast response to rapid changes in aerosol concentration.
- Embedded PC and pre-installated software.
- Built-in data logging and storage capability with removable memory card or internal hard disk.
- Quick change sensor cartridge.
- Rotating disk with easy maintenance.
- Long-life disk coating
- Low maintenance. 1000 operation hours of diluter between recommended service.
Applications
- Testo NanoMet3 is developed for a wide range of automotive, laboratory and ambient applications.
- It is designed to measure emissions during the actual use of an internal combustion engine vehicle or equipment in its regular daily operation under real-world conditions.
- It is designed to measure emissions during the actual use of an internal combustion engine vehicle or equipment in its regular daily operation under real-world conditions.
- The PEMS methodology and approach has been recognized by many governmental entities such as the USEPA and the UNFCCC.
- PEMS have been proven for certain applications to better identify in-use performance of vehicles than standard laboratory measurements.
